Natural Makeup Ideas Colors are hot this year (especially purple) so be sure to add it when you can. Use neutral colors to enhance your own facial features. If you have brown eyes, wear brown or green shadows. If you have blue eyes, use a pretty shade of gray or blue that naturally draw out your eye’s color. Another great idea is to use colors found in the specs of the iris of your eyes. Apply colors that compliment what you’ve already got and you’ll look more natural.
How to Apply Natural Makeup with Natural Makeup Tips

  • Think of makeup application in the same way you think about painting a picture! If you don’t start it with a clean face, you are only drawing a dirty picture. (An artist always starts with a clean canvas!) Always begin with a clean, toned, and moisturized surface. After you’ve applied moisturizer, allow it to absorb for 10 minutes before you apply any makeup.

  • Decide which colors look best on you. If you don’t know, think about your wardrobe. Which outfits do you like the best? Chances are that the colors in those outfits are the colors that look best on you. Use them in your makeup application!

  • If you need to get rid of dark under eye circles, dot a concealer on the dark areas and blend it into your complexion.

  • Apply foundation makeup. Crème foundations are specifically designed for normal to dry skin types. Liquid foundations are made with a water base, and do well for normal to oily skin. The best foundation for all skin types ismineral makeup. Mineral makeup can be applied all over your face, or in specific areas to neutralize undesirable undertones. Mineral makeup is usually applied with a brush. It also won’t cause acne because it fills in the pores, creating a barrier between your skin and the environment! The more you use, the better coverage you get.

  • To keep eye makeup natural, stick to neutral shades. Shadow colors such as taupe, brown, pink, peach, violet, and mauve give freshness to the eyes without overpowering them. Liners can be black, brown, green or blue. Use whatever colors blend well with your complexion while complimenting your eye color at the same time. Use the same guidelines for mascara application or try clear mascara to enhance the length of the lashes only. Neutral colors allow you to enhance your natural features by complementing the iris of your eyes. When applying natural makeup, keep the color families the same for eyes, cheeks, and lips.

  • Blush should look natural with no lines of demarcation. Blend them into your cheeks, tip of the nose, and center of the forehead and chin. When you think about blush, think about where sunlight naturally hits your face. Apply blush to those areas.

  • Natural looking lipsticks should be muted colors or sheer. Stick with colors that blend well with your lips natural undertones. If your lips are naturally pinkish, use a light pink creme lipstick or sheer pink lipstick. Brown or natural lipstick shades are universal and look totally natural on everyone. Use any colors that allow your lips to look more natural. Apply a dab of light colored lip gloss to the center of the lips to emphasize fullness. Tinted glosses are top sellers and excellent for adding a sprinkle of color and sheen all in one.

  • Finish makeup application with a gentle puff of translucent loose powder, which will help to set your makeup. Brush out any lines of demarcation you find.

  • Natural makeup should add subtle hints of color only. For example, use a soft sweep of dark blue or purple eyeshadow lining the lower lashes with a soft sweep of peach blush on the cheeks. You will look great in an instant! Because you’re not wearing as much makeup, your makeup application gets a lot easier! You will have a more natural allure if you take a few extra moments to plan out what colors you can use (that look good on you of course), and always buy makeup brands that work well for your skin.
Here’s some makeup tips to help you along.Big Makeup Tip #1
Don’t get lippy when your eyes are doing the talking!
If your eyes are the focus of the makeup look, keep the other two color areas softer. Dark eyes and dark lips are extremely stylized, and few can pull it off. Let one of the three color areas of your face take center stage while the others do backup. Don’t underestimate back ups. Backup dancers made Madonna’s girly tour famous!
    Giant Makeup Tip #2
    Fast Formula for Fabulousness!
    Base, Brows, Lashes & Lips
This is a partial but complete look from top to bottom. Partial doesn’t mean compartmentalized.
Your base: Whatever format of foundation you choose, it should be a color and texture to match to your skin. Color matching will allow you to place your foundation ONLY in problem areas – not ear to ear. This will make your skin sing with minimal product. Texture matching will keep your own personal moisture level uniform. If you have an oilier skin type, and chose an opposite texture format to your base (i.e. dry powder foundation) this will look contrived and patchy since it is so polar from your own skin’s moisture level.
Solution: Choose an oil free liquid foundation that will co-exist with your skins natural glow.
Have your brows groomed by a professional:
I personally am a huge fan of traditional trimming and tweezing. Once your natural brow has been assessed and brought up to speed (that LA – Hollywood brow) just a bit of simple finessing with color in the morning will frame a minimal makeup look into a natural beauty.
    One minute Mascara application!
Wipe your mascara wand with a Kleenex. Too much product loaded on the brush will ensure a lumpy, clumpy drive into the office and potentially impair your driving. It takes very little product to build yours, trust me. When the tube gets slightly dry, add a couple of drops of 99% alcohol to the tube. It will help re-liquefy it and kill some bacteria.
    Lush up your lips!
There is an array of stains & glosses out there like never before. No excuses for a naked mouth. If you have no idea what shade you may indulge in, here are some makeup tips for your new beauty adventure – if your hair color is light, then lighter, softer lips shades are more favorable. If you have darker hair, then more vibrant, richer lips are in place for you. The cooler your hair color stay with cooler shades on your mouth. And the warmer your hair color, warm up your smile. If you are not sure on the color status of your do, ask your hairdresser what category you fall in.
Good luck beauties, I’ll be watching.
